An Introduction to the
Fundamentals of
ISLAM
The same One God who revealed the
Bible, Torah, and all other holy books; revealed to His final Prophet Muhammad
(saws—Peace and Blessings of ALLAH Be Upon Him)—
THE HOLY QUR’AN
—the final, guaranteed unalterable, book of truth and perfected
guide to paradise and eternal life with the One God and Creator of all things,
ALLAH.
ALLAH,
Subhanwataa’la (Glorified and Exalted), first revealed the HOLY QUR’AN in
Arabic to Prophet Muhammad (saws) through
Angel Gabriel (Alayis Salaam—Upon Him Be Peace).
Prophet Muhammed (saws)
was born the latter third of the 6th century in
Mecca, Saudi Arabia; and walked the earth for 63 years.
ISLAM means submission to ALLAH. Those who
practice ISLAM are called Muslims. ISLAM is the answer to all the problems of
the world. The HOLY QUR'AN and Hadith (sayings
and examples of Prophet Muhammad) provide
answers in detail. ISLAM—the same religion of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and
all other prophets.

Most HOLY QUR’AN
“Allah
There is No God but Him,
The Eternal, Self-Subsisting.
No slumber can seize Him, nor sleep.
His are all things in the heavens and on earth.
Who is there that can intercede
In His presence except as He permitteth?
He knoweth what
before or after or behind them.
Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge
Except as He willeth.
His throne doth extend
over the heavens and the earth,
and He feeleth no fatigue
in guarding and preserving them
For He is the Most High,
The Supreme.”
HOLY QUR’AN 2:255

“This is the Book;
in it is guidance sure,
without doubt,
to those who fear Allah;
who believe in the Unseen,
are steadfast in prayer,
and spend out of what We have provided for them;
and who believe in the Revelation sent to thee,
and sent before thy time,
and have the assurance of the Hereafter.
They are on Guidance from their Lord,
and it is these who will prosper.”
HOLY QUR’AN 2:1-5
“. . . This day have I perfected your religion for you,
completed my favor upon you,
and have chosen for you
ISLAM
as your religion….”

"Soon will We
show them
Our signs in the furthest regions,
and in their own souls,
until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. . . .”

“I have only created jinns and men,
that they may serve Me.”

“O ye people! Adore your Guardian Lord,
Who Created you and those who came before you,
that you may become righteous.”

Prophet Muhammad
(May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him.)
“You have indeed in the Messenger of ALLAH
a beautiful pattern (of conduct)
for any one whose hope is in ALLAH
and the Final Day, and who engages
much in the praise of ALLAH.”
HOLY QUR’AN 33:21
“Muhammad is not the father
of any of your men, but (he is)
The Messenger of ALLAH,
and the Seal of the Prophets:
and ALLAH has full knowledge of all things.”
HOLY QUR’AN 33:40
“O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness,
a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner—
And as one who invites to ALLAH’S (Grace)
by His leave, and as a Lamp Spreading Light.
Then give the glad tidings to the Believers,
that they shall have from ALLAH
a very great Bounty.”
HOLY QUR’AN 33:45-47
“Those who follow the Messenger,
the unlettered Prophet,
whom they find mentioned in their own
(Scriptures)—in the Law and the Gospel—
For he commands them what is just and
forbids them what is evil;
he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure)
and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure);
He releases them from their heavy burdens
and from the yokes that are upon them.
So it is those who believe in him,
honor him, help him, and follow the Light
which is sent down with him—
It is they who will prosper.”
HOLY QUR’AN 7:157

“Say:
‘We believe in ALLAH,
and in what has been revealed to us
and what was revealed to
Abraham, Ismail, Isaac,
Jacob, and the Tribes,
and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus
and the Prophets, from their Lord:
We make no distinction between one
and another among them,
and to ALLAH do we bow our will (in Islam).’”
HOLY QUR’AN 3:84

Righteousness Is:
“. . . It is righteousness¾to believe in ALLAH
and the Last Day,
and the Angels,
and the Book,
and the Messengers;
To spend of your substance out of love for Him,
for your kin,
for orphans,
for the needy,
for the wayfarer,
for those who ask,
and for the ransom of slaves;
to be steadfast in prayer
and practice regular charity,
to fulfill the contracts which you have made;
and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering)
and adversity and throughout all periods of panic.
Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing.”
