facilitate increased deen amongst Muslims.
The non-Muslim reader is welcomed and
blessed if you are curious about ISLAM.
It is Allah, Subhanahu
wa ta’ala, in His Abundant Mercy, Who
has opened your heart and allowed the seed of curiosity to be born there. Whatever doubts you may have¾direct them by reading authentic Sunnah and Allah’s Most Holy Qur’an¾the only source of
guaranteed unaltered and unalterable truth:
“Praise be to ALLAH,
Who hath sent to His Servant The Book,
and hath allowed therein no crookedness:
“(He hath
made it) Straight (and Clear)
in order that He may warn of a terrible punishment from Him,
and that He May give glad tidings
to the believers who work righteous deeds,
that they shall have a goodly Reward.”

COMING TO ISLAM: A Muslim Anthology
series is also intended for new and lifelong Muslims that we may share and reflect
on the differences and commonalities between us on our path to Allah,
inshaAllah, and as an aid and inspiration for each of
us through sharing insights, events and circumstances of milestone stages of
Islamic growth. This book series is also intended for eventual free distribution to
entrance portals of Islam. InshaAllah,
and with the Grace of ALLAH, this series includes testimonials on all Five
Pillars of Islam: Shahada (Declaration
of Faith), Salah (Prayers), Sakat (Charity), Sawm (Ramadan Fast), and Hajj
(Pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi, Arabia).
Muslims selflessly sharing their journeys in an effort to dissipate
barriers to faith.
The rainbow of our diverse backgrounds,
ethnicities, racial, educational and socio-economic lines¾yet all descendants of Adam and Eve¾are testament to Allah’s
Subhanahu wa ta’ala command that we are one
ummah (community) and that He brings whom He Wills, however He wills to ISLAM.
In
Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace and Blessings Upon Him) Final Sermon after bearing
witness to Allah, the first issue to which
he spoke was of our diversity:
“Oh people, listen to my words, for I do not know whether
we shall ever meet again and perform Hajj after this year.
Oh ye people, ALLAH says:
‘Oh people,
We created you from one male and one female
and made you into tribes and nations,
so as to be known to one another.’
“Verily in the sight of ALLAH, the most honored amongst you
is the one who is most
God-fearing. There is no superiority
for
an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab,
nor for the white over black nor for the black over the white
except by piety and good action.”

When we transcend our own perceived barriers we open
ourselves to our full potential and we can truly want for our brother what we
want for ourselves, then becoming one ummah as Allah commands
we do.
I am
most grateful to Allah, Subhanahu wa ta’ala, for allowing me to be
His servant in this work and I pray that this series COMING TO ISLAM: A Muslim Anthology be a seed that invites
and nurtures many to the heavenly harvest that is ISLAM. May Allah accept. Ameen.
